Lightning strike for two titles in a row

Make it two Mississauga Floor Hockey League titles in a row for the Mississauga Lightning Special Olympics team.

The Lightning won the second crown after defeating Hamilton McCoys 2-1 in the best-of-three final series. It was a rematch of last year's final series.

The Lightning took game one 3-2 with two goals from Ryan Azzopardi. Blaise Stretton scored the game-winner.

Hamilton took game two 3-0.

In the decisive game, four different players scored in a 4-1 win for Mississauga. Aaron Lindsay Brian Lindsay, Stretton and Azzopardi were the Lightning marksmen.

Other Lightning members are Craig Brown, Mark Ellis, Troy Ford-King, Jason Gow, Mark Iwasiw, Ryan Lamey, Mark Lamey, Jeff Letarte, Aaron Lindsay, Brian Lindsay, Brent Midghall, Mark Pszczolowski, Arthur Rea, Morgan Smith, Mike St. Louis, Brendan Thomson, Lorenzo Turi, Mike White and Derek Yates.
